We are away at Breaston (last years Long Eaton A) Meet 17.45 at the ground KO 18.15 - 18.30 Kit - bring last years Directions - Come off the A52 for Long Eaton and M1 take the first exit direction Long Eaton. You will pass the novo tel on your left carry on until mini roundabout go right,and follow the road about 200 mtrs then take the first right and that is called longmoor lane. Carry on longmoor lane for approx 34 mile the park is on your left their is a printing company called Cavangh next to the park. You can park in there or on the road. If you come to a cross road with a pub called the navigation in front on your right you have gone 100mtrs to far.

7.7.07 from Baz Hi all, Good news and bad news on the Academy front. Firstly the good news - we have been accepted into the Northern Academy League. The bad news is that Dave Regis has had to relinquish the role of Academy Coach ,as he has been offered and accepted a full time position with Charlton Athletic. I have arranged an Academy training session for Monday 16th July, starting at 19.00 on Gresham Playing fields. A new coach will be attending, so that we can have a look at him, and he can have a look at us, and hopefully a new partnership can be started. There will be a question and answer session afterwards for players and parents. Please ask as many interested lads and parents to attend as possible. Thanks.

24.6.07 Photo from the presentation day at Notts County has been added to the picture gallery. I've recieved the registration form for the Notts Youth League. The league decided to award wins to each of the 4 teams that Gedling had unfulfilled fixtures against. Tables have been updated. The game was awarded as a 1-0 win, so I have a goal up for sale - sealed bids Abbo and Matt please. As I've got nothing better to do I've put on a new table which has Cotgrave Colts at the top of it. It's a table which shows which teams we won points against at eleven a side. 19.5.07 Presentation Evening etc Morning, a couple of pressing bits we need to sort out this week. Firtsly, as I've said on the website, the award of the Sportsmanship Trophy to add to the League and Shield wins has been the icing on the cake. excellent achievement. I know that the kids are all enjoying their GCSE's at the moment, so we cancelled training on Tuesdays until it's all over. We'll let you you know when it starts again. The clubs AGM is this Thursday (24th May) where we need to submit the club registration forms for next season. These are the ones I handed out after the game at Long Eaton. Could you please post them back to me duly completed and with the appropriate fee attached. The League Presentation evening is on the 13 June at Rolls Royce (Watnall Lane, Hucknall). Could you let me know how many tickets you would like. Out ticket request needs to be in to the league by Friday. There is a limit, but we may as well ask for what we would ideally like and see what we get. The club Presentation is on Sunday 17th June at Notts County's Ground. We have been asked for three volunteers to help for an hour or so during the course of the day. There is the possibility of playing a Tournament that day, again I'll let you know. Paul 18.5.07 What, another treble? I've recieved notification from the Notts Youth League that we have won the divisions Sportsmanship Award. This is a fantastic achievement and one which we can be very proud of. It reflects very positvely on the way the boys play their football and conduct themselves on the pitch. It also shows in the way that we all support our team, that we too have got what it takes to be winners. The award will be made at the same Presentation evening that we recieve our Championship trophy. 15.5.07 At last! The season finally comes to a close, pre season training will start...only joking! At the top, Carlton play Rolls midweek but regardless of the result, the runners up spot will be a head to head clash between them and Moorgreen next Saturday. At the bottom, Long Eaton Blue picked up a point against Gedling on Saturday which ended Cotgrave hopes of stopping up. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss how the Academy will operate. We need to create a team of willing helpers and allocate roles and responsibilities. Ideas and thoughts are welcomed from all interested parties, so please extend an invitation to this meeting to any person you think may be interested. As discussed at the 'Taster' evening there are numerous roles and positions that need to be filled so we cannot have enough volunteers. A variety of expertise will be required. That being the case Colts will play away at newly promoted Bulwell Town on the 9th September for their opening fixture of the 2006-2007 season. First half season fixtures in diary 17.7.06 Friendly organised against Keyworth for Wednesday 6 September 9.7.06 Chris Watkins took 1st place on the rostrum with a comfortable 14 second win in the 48 lap race. The fight for second place was a tight one. Daniel Westrik edging out Olly Wood by just over a second, who in turn defended the third sport by a simliar margin from Billy Jennison. There was controversy on Lap 18 when Simmo Junior was disqualified by the course marshalls. It was not the Simpsons day as Simmo senior was pulled into the pits for a drive through penalty, however having the slowest 'fastest' lap time, he was never going to trouble the leaders. Greg Precious had the fastest time through the pits. He was called in to cool his brakes, entered the pit lane at 35mph and exited at the same speed, luckily his pathway through to the A46 was blocked by a shut farmers gate. James Barratt scored the fastest lap, narrowly beating Elliot Dennis.
