A great end-of-season match featuring the whole squad on a sunny evening in Bingham. Both teams enjoyed the game and had chances. Flyers started quietly but took control of the first half, making chances but also defending well against the Bingham counter attacks. The Flyers took a first goal at around 15 minutes, with a well struck left footted shot by Eve from within the box. Some good passing led to more shooting opportunities, and a second goal came from a good run up the left wing by Cerys, followed by a narrow angle ball that unluckily went in off the Bingham keeper. The first half ended 3-0 following a goal knocked in by Eve, again well positioned as striker in the penalty box.
The second half showed good attacking by Bingham who took a goal back early in the half - opening the game up well. Flyers made some good attacks including good long range shots by Dublin and Zoe and great saves by the Bingham keeper. A fourth goal via Georgia answerd by a second by Bingham finished the tie 4-2, securing fourth place in the league behind the two Derby teams and Radcliffe. A great result in a very competitive league.
A nice ending supplied by Bingham was the excellent chip butties in the club house.
Well done team on a great season of good quality football!
